Stonehenge captivates North Mindanaoan Couple

Couples Maida and Cedric Silao with their purchased “Stonehenge” painting from Homestases.

The scenic beauty of Stonehenge captivated Maida and Cedric Silao, couples originally from North Mindanao and now citizens of the United Kingdom. It has excitedly prompted them to request Marbs, artist at Homestases, to paint it in a canvas.

“It is a famous figure of world history and one of the wonders of the world. As Londoners, it is a symbolic United Kingdom landmark,” says Maida.

Maida, a nurse in Kings College Hospital, and Cedric, working with the portering services at the same hospital, contacted Marbs couples of months ago to order rendition of Stonehenge in a painting. Landscapes are some of the favourite theme of the artist and thus he warmly accepted the job.

According to the couple, they are taking the painting to the Philippines to give a British scene at their homeland sweet abode. The painting, when properly framed, will give an artistic natural view of the landmark in their wall.

Part of the sales of the painting will be donated to the artist’s charity, The Cordillera Connection (TCC), for its charitable works in the Cordillera Region, Northern Philippines.
